Close family sex such as fathers and daughters, mothers and sons, sisters and brothers is LEGAL in two American states. New Jersey, and Rhode Island "inzest" is NOT a criminal offense among ADULTS. Furthermore, 16 is the age of LEGAL consent in Rhode Island. Americans are also under the false impression that 18 is the LEGAL age of sexual consent nationwide, but they'd be shocked to learn that 16 is the LEGAL age of consent in 31 American states, which constitute more than half of the states in the USA. Americans may think they know the laws of their own nation,-- unfortunately far too few actually do.
